Look at the ends of the lower four legs, they have four joints! It is not often that I get to go out and get a new insect Order under my belt. . .so finding this wild insect tonight was very cool.  Not a true fly, it is predatory, with four hind legs that are jointed at the very ends to grab prey.  The mandibles speak for themselves....
